Diagnose Windows system crashes (blue screens) by running a memory test.

When to Use

If your system is experiencing a blue screen crash periodically the first thing to check is the stability of your RAM.

Steps

  1. Follow: Q7200705
  2. From the Start menu open Windows Memory Diagnostic (type it).
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen to check your memory.

A memory check will reboot your computer and may take several hours to complete.
