Manually uninstalling DrivePool 2.X.

When to Use

If you are having serious issues with DrivePool and just resetting the settings doesn't work.

Steps

  1. Follow: Q7200705
  2. Open Device Manager from the Start menu (type it).
  3. If you see Covecube devices, expand it and right click on each item and click Uninstall.
  4. Open Programs and Features from the Start menu (type it).
  5. Uninstall StableBit DrivePool, if listed.
  6. Reboot the server.
  7. Click Start -> Run. Type regedit.
  8. Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\CoveFS and delete it, if found.
  9. Reboot the server.
  10. Delete everything in C:\ProgramData\StableBit DrivePool, as well as C:\Program Files\StableBit\DrivePool.
  11. Reboot the server.

Note that this process does not affect your pooled data. All pooled data will be preserved.
