Windows Search installed and configured on the server cause renaming errors on remote systems for indexed locations.

When to Use

When you experiencing folder rename errors, or long wait times on rename when using Windows 10 Anniversary Update (version 1607) as the client and Windows Server Essentials (or Windows 8.1 and up, with Windows Search configured).

Caveat: This will break the Media Streaming functionality of the Windows Media Pack for Server Essentials, and break the file list for the Remote Access Website in Windows Server Essentials, as both of these rely solely on Windows Search.

So, the choice is a working website/streamer or errors renaming on the shared folders.
