Weird Installer failure
When to Use
When the installer fails for "unknown components"
But only do if instructed by support. This could break things, and is more for support's reference than for users.
Steps
- On the client having the issue, open up RegEdit:
- Delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Components\20384564B1EA3894BA39CA3EF8469F18
- Reboot the system
