Manually uninstalling DrivePool.
When to Use
If you can't get DrivePool to uninstall using the Dashboard you can use this as a last resort.
Steps
- Follow: Q7200705
- Open Programs and Features from the Start menu (type it).
- Uninstall StableBit DrivePool, if listed.
- Reboot the server.
- Open Device Manager from the Start menu (type it).
- If you see Covecube devices, expand it and right click on each item and click Uninstall.
- Click Start -> Run. Type regedit.
- Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\CoveFS and delete it, if found.
- Reboot the server.
- Delete everything in C:\ProgramData\StableBitDrivePool.
- Open the Dashboard to the add-ins tab and remove StableBit DrivePool, if listed.
Note that this process does not affect your pooled data. All pooled data will be preserved.
Now you can:
- Install the latest build of DrivePool from http://stablebit.com.
- Open the Dashboard to the StableBit DrivePool tab and make sure that you're not being prompted for a license.
