Manually uninstalling StableBit DrivePool 2.X.
When to Use
If you are having serious issues with StableBit DrivePool and just resetting the settings doesn't work.
Steps
- Follow: Q7200705
- Open Device Manager from the Start menu (type it).
- If you see Covecube devices, expand it and right click on each item and click Uninstall.
- If you have StableBit CloudDrive installed, DO NOT remove the Covecube CloudDrive Enumerator device.
- Open Programs and Features from the Start menu (type it).
- Uninstall StableBit DrivePool, if listed.
- Reboot the server.
- Click Start -> Run. Type regedit.
- Locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\CoveFS and delete it, if found.
- Reboot the server.
- Delete everything in C:\ProgramData\StableBit DrivePool.
- Delete everything in C:\Program Files\StableBit\DrivePool.
- Delete everything in %AppData%\StableBit DrivePool.
- Note: You should type "%AppData%\StableBit DrivePool" into the location bar, or from the Run command (Win+R).
- Reboot the computer.
Note that this process does not affect your pooled data. All pooled data will be preserved.
Now you can:
- Install the latest build of DrivePool from http://stablebit.com/.
