When to Use

If your WSSX installer is failing and you would like to retrieve the installation logs.


  1. Follow: Q7200705
  2. Launch Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Server\Logs
  3. The installation logs are saved here:
    • StableBit Scanner - StableBit.Scanner.Server.log
    • StableBit DrivePool - StableBit.DrivePool.Server.log

Unfortunately the WSSX installers are not very good with error messages. But you can get a lot more details from the logs.
